The Dongfeng Warrior M18 EV is touted as the Chinese version of the previously announced Hummer EV electric SUV that went on sale late last year.

Interestingly, the Dongfeng Warrior M18 EV is not inferior to, but also surpasses the Hummer EV in terms of power plant (1070 vs. 1000 hp). The Dongfeng Warrior M18 EV is an electric version of the previously released diesel Dongfeng Warrior M50, while its power was only 200 hp.

Dongfeng has done a great job reimagining the Hummer, with both civilian and military applications well considered in its design. The Dongfeng Warrior M18 EV bears a striking resemblance to the Hummer H1. This huge machine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds and has a range of 500 km.

The Dongfeng Warrior M18 EV weighs 3.1 tons while the diesel vehicle weighs 3.5 tons. Dongfeng will manufacture the Warrior M18 in a new plant currently under construction and is expected to cost less than similar electric SUVs available in the global market, especially in the USA.

There is no information about the possibility of using the car as an emergency source of electricity. Recall that the Ford F-150 Lightning can provide electricity to the whole house for three days.
