The Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers (APPSIM) proposed to the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Culture to oblige YouTube to notify the reasons for blocking or deleting videos, Kommersant reports.

APPSIM noted that videos are often blocked due to complaints from fraudsters who misappropriated copyrights. They pretend to be the copyright holders of musical compositions and earn on views.

Experts interviewed by the publication note that users can independently file an appeal using YouTube tools to remove the block. Therefore, in their opinion, the measures proposed by APPSIM may complicate the operation of services.
