Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution stating that the introduction of fast charging stations for electric vehicles will be stimulated in Russia, and manufacturers and owners of such infrastructure will receive tax benefits.

We are talking about DC-powered electric charging stations (ECS) with a capacity of 150 kW or more with a charging period of up to 30 minutes. By government decree, they are included in the list of objects and technologies of high energy efficiency.

The Cabinet emphasized that the growth of the fleet of electric vehicles in Russia requires the creation of a mass network of electric charging stations, which is why this resolution was adopted. Tax incentives include an investment tax credit, increasing coefficients to the depreciation rate, exemption from property tax.

By 2030, Russia plans to deploy a network of 29,000 fast electric charging stations. They should charge the battery from 0 to 80% in no more than 20-30 minutes.
