Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new line of flagships, the Galaxy S22, at its next Galaxy Unpacked event.
The eldest model in the line was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is noticeably different from the "younger brothers" both in design and characteristics (details from the announcement of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+).
Galaxy S22 Ultra received an angular body and a different design of the camera unit on the rear panel. Overall, it has a lot in common in appearance with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Like the previous generation, Galaxy S21 Ultra (review), the new product received support for a proprietary stylus.
At what the stylus is included in the delivery, unlike the charger. However, this is logical, if the Galaxy S21 Ultra did not have a special slot for a stylus in the case, then the Galaxy S22 Ultra can already boast of it.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with curved edges on both sides, QHD + resolution, peak brightness of 1750 cd / m2 and an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a very “smooth” frequency adaptation from 1 to 120 Hz is promised.

108MP wide-angle, f/1.8 aperture, 85° field of view
10 MP telephoto, 3x zoom, f/2.4 aperture, 36° field of view
10 MP telephoto, 10x zoom, f/4.9 aperture, 11° field of view
The front camera received a resolution of 40 megapixels. The flagship single-chip system Samsung Exynos 2200, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and from 128 GB to 1 TB of internal flash memory has become the hardware basis of the smartphone.
The 5000mAh battery supports fast wired charging up to 45W and wireless up to 15W. Wireless charging of other gadgets is possible.
The smartphone runs on the latest Android 12 operating system with a proprietary One UI 4.1 shell.
Supports 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, as well as NFC, there is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and water protection (IP68). Dimensions are 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm. The smartphone weighs 229 grams.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra will go on sale in Russia on March 11, 2022. The novelty will be available in black, white, green and burgundy colors at the following prices:
