Huawei has officially announced that the Huawei P40 series has now joined the "memory upgrade program". According to the official description, those who wish can expand the flash memory capacity of Huawei P40, P40 Pro and P40 5G.
The service is currently only offered to residents of China and will be available until March 31 in more than 300 cities across the country. Services are provided by more than 1,900 Huawei customer service centers.
Huawei's official website shows that the mobile phones participating in the event must be official genuine products. Phones provided to the service centers will be transferred to the advanced technical service center to be upgraded with professional equipment. On average, it will take about 10 days.
Last year, Huawei officially released the HarmonyOS update for the Huawei P40 series. In August, the company released another update that fixes the problem of abnormal display of signal icons in the status bar. In July, the series received an update that optimizes power consumption and system stability in some scenarios.
As of the end of last year, the number of users of HarmonyOS 2 exceeded 220 million people.
