The adventures of the legendary Captain Price, howling since the Second World War, continue. Activision has confirmed work on Call of Duty (CoD): Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 battle royale.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are built on the same engine to avoid content transfer issues between games. As the developers point out, this should be a completely new engine. The game is being developed by Infinity Ward in collaboration with Raven Software.

CoD: Modern Warfare 2 will be the sequel to 2019's CoD: Modern Warfare. The theater of operations in the new part is not yet known, but the video of the famous insider Tom Henderson talks about the fight against drug lords in Colombia. Whether there will be references to previous parts, as, for example, in Black Oops Cold War and Modern Warfare 2019, is unknown. One of the antagonist heroes of the previous parts was mentioned in both. The developers also promised an evolution in the battle royale genre in CoD: Warzone 2.

Based on Microsoft's claims that Activision Blizzard titles will be released on other platforms, this part will most likely be released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The release of the game is scheduled for the fall, according to Pat Kelly, but the exact date or at least the month was not indicated. When will Warzone 2 is not said at all. But there is an assumption that, like the first part of the royal battle - right after the story part.

Whether this last part, coming out on the consoles of the previous generation, as mentioned in the video by Tom Henderson, is also unknown, how and whether there will be problems with the release of the game in the Russian segment of the PlayStaion Store. The previous part of Modern Warfare caused a wave of criticism about the plot of the game, and the scandal resulted in the withdrawal of the game in the Russian region. What will happen to the new part is still unknown, but CoD: Black Ops Cold War is currently available for purchase.
