Google has relaunched the design of Gmail for regular users:

At the end of January, Google introduced a new “integrated” interface for the proprietary Gmail mail service. Now the new design has begun to spread among the first users of Gmail, including those with personal (not corporate) Google accounts.

This is especially interesting since the new interface was initially announced to be for corporate users of Google Workspace only.

As the developers promise, the new Gmail interface will help "easily navigate the flow of letters." The new Gmail experience combines mail, chat, chat groups and Meetings. Among the features:

you can see all the Google apps integrated into the Gmail main menu. The button hides or opens the collapsible panel;

you can open the menu of the selected application in a collapsible panel;

you can receive pop-up notifications about new chat group messages;

you can see what's happening in the application without switching to it.

While the new interface is available to a small group of users. However, Google has already released a support page that describes how it works.
