Microsoft announced that it will fully reopen its main office on February 28

Microsoft has announced its readiness to open headquarters after a two-year period of remote work. The process of returning to pre-docian operation will begin at the end of this month. Employees will have the option to choose between regular, remote, and hybrid work schedules.

On February 28, 2022, Microsoft will open its headquarters in Redmond to employees and customers. Offices in the San Francisco area will open on the same day. The rest of the company's facilities will open gradually and according to the incidence rates in each state.

Microsoft said that employees will have 30 days to choose a working mode that suits them and adapt to it. Options for remote work, personal presence in the office and mixed stay are possible. The IT giant made the decision to open offices, relying on high vaccination rates in Washington and California. Despite this, the offices will still observe precautionary measures and conduct testing for COVID-19.

Microsoft was the first among the major IT companies in the US to decide to return to the usual routine of life. So Meta plans to open offices on March 28, while Apple has postponed plans indefinitely. Initially, the Cupertino team planned to return employees from remote work on February 1, 2022, but due to an increase in the number of diseases, they abandoned the idea.
