Mushroom picking robot is able to pick mushrooms better than a human

Canadian roboticist Mehrdad Kermani has been developing a mushroom picking robot for 10 years, writes Western News.

The device is able to collect mushrooms faster and better than a person. The machine cuts them without damaging the soft structure. The robot scans the mushroom, determining its ripeness. If the crop is not yet ready for harvest, the device marks it and returns later.

The robot is said to have revolutionized mushroom picking.

The robot has been specially adapted to work on mushroom farms, on one of which it is already working around the clock.

Previously, she talked about the fact that people are much more pleasant to communicate with female robots than with men. This is due to cultural biases regarding gender roles.
