Last year, Xiaomi launched its first foldable smartphone called the Xiaomi Mix Fold, and now the Chinese company is gearing up to unveil its successor, which will likely be called the Mix Fold 2.
A well-known Chinese informant under the nickname Digital Chat Station received exclusive information that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 foldable smartphone will be released in the second quarter of this year, that is, until the end of June.
The second generation Xiaomi Mix Fold is expected to come with an 8.1-inch main display with 2K resolution. It is also reported that both the internal and external displays of the device will support high refresh rates.
It is also claimed that this time Xiaomi will use new LTPO panels in this flagship device, which means that the smartphone will support adaptive image refresh rate to save power efficiently.
The device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a larger battery and support for fast wired and wireless charging technology.
Besides the Mix Fold 2, Xiaomi may also launch another foldable smartphone called the Mix Flip to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.
