Qualcomm Tri-Core Processor, Mesh and Wi-Fi 6 Support and Data Transfer Rates up to 5400Mbps for $85

Xiaomi officially introduced the Redmi AX5400 router, which complements the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition gaming smartphone presented yesterday. The novelty is priced at the equivalent of $85 for the first buyers, in retail it will be slightly more expensive - $95. At the same time, analogues, judging by the official presentation of Xiaomi (including Asus RT-AX82U), are twice as expensive.

The Redmi AX5400 hardware platform is based on a Qualcomm tri-core chip: with a dual-core CPU at a frequency of 1.0 GHz and a single-core NPU at the same frequency. A similar chip is used in the older model AX6000. The amount of RAM will be 512 MB. The router supports connecting up to 248 devices at the same time.

Four external antennas are supplemented by six amplifiers: four for the 5 GHz band, two for the 2.4 GHz band. The maximum data transfer rate in the first case is 4804 Mbps, in the second - 574 Mbps. The total is 5378 Mbps, rounded - 5400 Mbps, which corresponds to the labeling of the model.

The device has five RJ-45 ports: one WAN at 2.5 Gbps and four LANs at 1 Gbps. Other features include quick integration into the Mesh network based on Xiaomi and Redmi routers, smartphone control, Wi-Fi 6 support, and customizable RGB lighting, as befits a gaming router.
