The Galaxy S22 Ultra isn't nearly as durable as the iPhone 13 Pro

A user who previously tested the Galaxy S22 Ultra for scratch and water resistance is back to testing Samsung's new flagship. This time around, the brand new Galaxy S22 Ultra has been subjected to a series of drops onto a concrete floor. Samsung says the Galaxy S22 is the company's toughest smartphone (so tough it doesn't need a screen protector), but it's been proven to be better to protect the screen with a screen protector and wrap the whole phone in a case.

Because already at the first fall from the height of the belt (about a meter), the camera lens was broken. In general, the lens glass turned out to be quite fragile. A few more falls on the concrete floor, and not only chips and scratches appeared on the screen, but also real cracks. The metal frame is easily deformed.

After several falls from a height of human height, the screen gave up. Interestingly, it did not shatter, but it stopped functioning normally. In general, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is better not to be dropped, and it is better to carry it in a case. No matter how super secure this smartphone Samsung would not consider it.

At the end of the video, the user talks about his disappointment: he did not expect that the device would receive quite serious damage after a couple of falls from a relatively small height.
