Introduced a couple of days ago along with the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition gaming smartphone, the Redmi Gaming Router AX5400 also went on sale in China today for $95.
The design of Redmi Gaming Router AX5400 is inspired by racing cars. It is equipped with a customizable backlight (16 million colors). The total Wi-Fi speed reaches 5378 Mbps (rounded up to 5400 in the model name). It supports the enhanced Wi-Fi 6 model, which doubles the 5GHz bandwidth. If the devices support 4K QAM, the 5GHz speed boost is up to 20%. More importantly, the Redmi gaming router supports Mesh networks.
The Redmi AX5400 gaming router is equipped with a Qualcomm gaming-grade processor. The dual-core 64-bit processor runs at 1.0 GHz and additionally includes a single-core NPU at 1.0 GHz. The NPU core can greatly improve packet forwarding efficiency (up to 80%) and reduce CPU usage. In addition, the router has 512MB of RAM, it can serve 248 devices at the same time. The external 4 antennas of the router include 6 amplifiers.
The device received one WAN connector at a speed of 2.5 Gb / s and four LANs at a speed of 1 Gb / s.
