Inexpensive gaming platform for smartphones on a modern technical process

MediaTek is not slowing down. While the main attention of users is attracted to top-end single-chip systems, the company does not forget about more affordable solutions.

MediaTek will reportedly launch its first G-series SoC in the third quarter, which will be manufactured on a 6nm process. This will make it much more energy efficient and will allow you to raise frequencies if desired.

The new SoC will replace the Helio G96. Whether it will retain the Helio brand at the same time is not reported, but apparently yes. Moreover, the configuration will allegedly remain unchanged: two Cortex-A76 cores, six Cortex-A55 and a Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The 5G modem will also not be available to the new product. So the company has no reason to abandon the Helio brand in this case.
