Iodyne Pro Data Desktop Storage: Twelve SSDs and Eight Thunderbolt 3 Ports

Iodyne introduced the compact desktop storage Pro Data. It is said to "provide revolutionary performance, storage capacity and data security." This claim seems reasonable when you consider that the Pro Data enclosure contains twelve SSDs and uses a Thunderbolt interface to connect to the host. What's more, the iodyne Pro Data configuration includes eight Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps) ports, allowing you to connect monitors and other peripherals to your PC. Four ports are for connection to one or more computers, and four are for daisy chaining of peripherals (up to six per chain). In particular, the same storages can be included in the chain, which makes it possible to bring the total volume up to 576 TB.

The drives inside the storage support NVMe and encryption. They can be combined into a RAID-0 or RAID-6 array and can be configured using the macOS app. Supported operating systems include macOS 10.15 or later. Support for Linux and Windows 10 and 11 is in beta testing.

The manufacturer offers 12 and 24 TB Pro Data options for $ 3,950 and $ 7,500, respectively. The package includes a 180 W power supply, a stand for vertical installation and a 0.7 m Thunderbolt cable.With dimensions 39.1 x 25.4 x 3.1 cm, the product weighs 3.3 kg

Acceptance of orders has already begun. Shipment is due to begin on January 3, 2022.
