Thin and light laptops with GeForce RTX 2050 will go on sale in March

The paper announcement of the GeForce RTX 2050 took place in December last year, when it was said that laptops with this dGPU would go on sale in the spring. As the source writes, no one is going to postpone the release of such models: they will go on sale in March.

Models with GeForce RTX 2050 will be presented as thin and light gaming devices. And there really is some truth in this, because, despite the name, the GeForce RTX 2050 is, in fact, a somewhat simplified version of the GeForce RTX 3050: it supports both real-time ray tracing, DLSS, and, of course, Optimus technology to balance between performance and power consumption. How many models with the GeForce RTX 2050 will go on sale in March is not reported, but the source mentions at least the new generation of Lenovo ThinkBook 14/16, we already wrote about them.

Recall that the GeForce RTX 2050 is based on the GA107 GPU. It has 2048 CUDA cores and 4 GB of GDDR6 memory up to 14 GHz with a 64-bit bus. TDP varies in the range from 30 to 45 W, GPU frequency - from 1155 to 1477 MHz. The GeForce RTX 3050 has a 128-bit bus and a maximum TDP of 80W.
