Renault showed a hydrogen-powered car

Renault has published the first image of the new hydrogen-powered concept car, which will be presented in May 2022. It will receive innovative technological solutions that improve the safety of the driver and passengers.

The concept car was developed under the direction of Renault design director Gilles Vidal and is part of the company's recently announced plans to switch its product line to full electric vehicles by 2030.

Renault intends to significantly expand the range of environmentally friendly cars in the European market, which will be released after the new Megane E-Tech crossover. In addition, Renault plans to convert its sports brand Alpine to full electric power soon. At the moment, the brand, revived in 2016, produces only A110 sports cars equipped with 1.8-liter petrol turbo engines.

At the same time, the Dacia brand under its control will continue to produce gasoline and diesel cars “for as long as European laws allow.” This is due to the company's desire to keep prices for cars of a budget brand at a low level.

In other news about the brand: the first generation Renault Duster crossover has been discontinued.
