The Renault Group has published its 2021 financial report, which contains the financial results of AvtoVAZ. The company returned to net profit last year after a huge loss in 2020. Such indicators were achieved due to the increase in car prices and the shift in sales to more expensive models.

AvtoVAZ's revenue in 2021 amounted to 2.85 billion euros, an increase of 10.4% compared to 2020. The most successful was the fourth quarter, when AvtoVAZ showed revenues of 828 million euros. The company's operating margin was 247 million euros (+106 million euros), mainly due to higher prices, which more than offset the negative effect of foreign exchange fluctuations and higher commodity prices.

Net profit of AvtoVAZ last year amounted to 166 million euros against 196 million loss a year earlier. Capital expenditures increased from €172 million in 2020 to €229 million in 2021. World sales of Lada cars in 2021 increased by 0.3% and amounted to 385,000 units.
