Despite news that some pre-ordered Galaxy S22 smartphones are shipping ahead of schedule, Samsung told PCMag that high interest in the Galaxy S22 lineup will result in delays in shipping phones.
This applies to orders placed not only with Samsung, but also with US wireless carriers. The longest delay is on the white 512GB flash version of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is only expected to ship by May 15th.
In an official statement, Samsung said, “We are grateful for the excitement and response to our new Galaxy S22 series. Interest in the Galaxy S22 series is at an all-time high, with pre-orders exceeding our expectations. We aim to deliver these devices to our customers as soon as possible. However, some customers may experience delays depending on the market, model and color. We are very grateful for your patience and understanding."
The same source confirms that in Europe, users have already started receiving Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones. According to the official schedule, they should start shipping to customers only on February 25th.
