WhatsApp added listening to audio messages before sending

WhatsApp has added the function of listening to audio messages before sending. To use it during recording, you must click on the stop icon located in the middle. Then you can listen to the message and, if everything is fine, send it to the recipient.

Detailed instructions on how to use the function have already been posted on the WhatsApp Help Center website. The update is rolling out gradually to Android and iOS devices. It will be available to all users soon.

Shortly before this, WhatsApp announced that it would hide users' activity status by default. According to the developers of the messenger, this is necessary to ensure the security of confidential data. Previously, everyone could see when users last logged into WhatsApp. Now this information is available only to those who are in contacts and are in active correspondence.

Also in early December, the messenger added a function of disappearing messages for all new chats by default. The user can configure automatic deletion of messages after 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days, including in group chats.
