Users of the test build of Windows 11 noticed that a watermark was added to the system, which appears on the desktop if the hardware of the machine does not meet the requirements. A similar notification was found in the OS settings.
The first innovation was noticed by a Twitter user named Albacore. The user came across a warning in the system settings, which says that the hardware is not supported by the OS. After that, The Verge journalists talked about the same feature and separately noted that a watermark with a warning and an assembly number also appears on the desktop. The sign is similar to the already present alert that the user has not activated Windows.
There is no information yet on whether Microsoft is going to include alerts in the release build. However, the company's steps indicate that the appearance of the operating system on unsupported hardware may change.
Last week, we learned that Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22557 can't be installed using a local account. Installation requires an Internet connection and authorization in a Microsoft account. And on February 21, 2022, it turned out that the same assembly does not support wireless connections with network authentication through TKIP and WEP encryption protocols that are not protected from hackers and have vulnerabilities.
