Affordable Redmi 10A completely declassified right before the announcement

Xiaomi revealed last month that Redmi is working on a Redmi 10A phone with model number 220233L2C for China, 220233L2G for global markets, and 220233L2I for India. The Chinese variant was spotted on the 3C regulatory site earlier this month. The device has now received approval from the TENAA body, indicating it could be launched this month or March in China.

Redmi 220233L2C measures 164.9 x 77 x 9mm and weighs around 194 grams. It features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). There is one 13MP camera on the back of the phone. On the front side of the device is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Images of the phone have yet to appear on the TENAA database. Hence, it is not clear which design the devices will receive. The spec sheet confirms that it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner.

The 2.0GHz octa-core processor running 220233L2C may be part of the Helio G25. The device will receive 2, 4, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 32, 64, 128 or 256 GB of flash memory. The smartphone will receive a battery with a capacity of 4900 mAh. The phone is expected to be available in a variety of colors such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, white, black, grey, silver and pink.

Interestingly, the global version, according to the FCC, will receive a fingerprint scanner and will run Android 12 with the MIUI 12.5 shell.
