The St. Petersburg company "Electromobiles Manufacturing Rus" presented in Moscow an electric truck EVM Pro, which was created in cooperation with the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant based on the chassis of the UAZ "Profi".
The declared power reserve of an electric car weighing 3.5 tons will be 300 km, the permissible payload can reach 1 ton. The manufacturer claims that the car received a record light engine weighing only 50 kg. The EVM Pro electric truck received a Russian power plant, on-board electronics and proprietary software, as well as a cabin heating system and an electric air conditioner for the summer period of operation. To preserve the charge in sub-zero temperatures, battery heating is provided. The price of the car will be about 3.5 million rubles.
Startup Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus was founded by Ilya Rashkin (45%) and Igor Girdin (55%). The volume of investments required for the first stage of the project implementation amounted to 1 billion rubles. The company plans to reach the volume of 1,000 electric vehicles per year, while the production plant will be located in the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone on an area of about 3,000 m2. The first vehicle will roll off the assembly line in early September, with the company already receiving orders for 400 vehicles.
It is also planned to create a Center for Development and Innovation of Electric Transport at the Great St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, which will work on optimizing mass production.
