Motorola, part of the Chinese Lenovo, is preparing to release a relatively inexpensive flagship smartphone - Motorola Edge 30 Pro.

Information and images from official marketing materials were shared by the well-known German resource WinFuture, behind which is the equally well-known insider Roland Quandt with a long track record of reliable leaks.

Quandt confirmed that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is a rebadged version of the Edge X30 Pro aimed at the international market. Debuting in China in early December, the Motorola Edge X30 became the world's first smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The source also confirmed the specifications of the international Motorola Edge 30 Pro. It will also boast a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a frame rate of 144 Hz. The screen of the model is flat, without curved edges, and the fingerprint scanner is built into the side power button. Also, unlike many competing flagships, there will be no metal edge here, only plastic.

Also among the characteristics are a 60-megapixel front camera, a triple main camera (50 and 50 MP, 2 MP), SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 flash memory, a battery with a capacity of 4800 mAh with support for 68W TurboPower fast charging, microSD card slot, NFC support, Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E, Android 12 operating system.

Roland Quandt frequently posts on the German resource Winfuture.de subsequently confirmed press renders and detailed specifications of smartphones and other gadgets prior to their announcement. This was the case with the Samsung Galaxy A52, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Samsung Galaxy Note20, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Buds+, Redmi 7 and many other devices.

The official debut is expected tomorrow - February 24, 2022.
