OnlyFans sued for conspiring with Facebook to hide a number of accounts of the authors of the service

The BBC reports that content subscription service FanCentro is suing OnlyFans for blacklisting content creators' Facebook accounts. The plaintiffs allege that account holders are placed in the database of terrorists due to cooperation with competing sites.

Court documents show that OnlyFans representatives paid bribes to Facebook employees to add certain accounts to the blacklist. OnlyFans says they are aware of the lawsuit but believe the allegations are baseless.

OnlyFans, which provides a platform for adult content creators, has grown significantly over the past few years. The service allows users to share videos and photos with followers for a monthly fee and tips.

Content creators use their social media pages to promote their OnlyFans channels.

According to the BBC, FanCentro filed a lawsuit in a Florida state court back in November last year. The defendants in this case will be the owner of OnlyFans, Leonid Radvinsky, and Fenix Internet LLC, which accepts payments from the service.

The plaintiffs allege that in 2018, OnlyFans instructed an unidentified social media network to blacklist a number of competing sites. As a result, they ended up in the international database of the Global Internet Forum on Combating Terrorism. For publications added to the database, a unique digital signature is recorded. These hashes are used by 18 forum members, including Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. In the case when one company hashes content, this mark appears for others.

FanCentro alleges that the database was manipulated, resulting in the deletion of a number of messages and the deletion of accounts on a number of social networks, although they did not contain terrorist material. FanCentro seeks financial damages in connection with the actions of OnlyFans.
