Geely received a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for the Monjaro crossover in Russia, so now the company can import these vehicles and start selling.
Geely Monjaro for the Russian market will only be all-wheel drive, it will receive the same engine that is installed on the Tugella cross-platform cross-coupe. This is a 2-liter JLH-4G20TDB engine that produces 238 hp. power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-band "automatic" Aisin TG-81SC.
Both Geely Monjaro suspensions are independent. There is a MacPherson type suspension at the front, a multi-link at the back. The steering is implemented with electric power. Brake mechanisms of all wheels — disk. Tire sizes - 235/50 R19 and 245/45 R20, depending on the configuration.
The basic version of Geely Monjaro for the Russian market will receive LED optics, keyless entry into the cabin and engine start, climate control, assistance systems when driving downhill and uphill, 8 audio system speakers, a 10-inch touchscreen instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central monitor inches.
An additional monitor for the front passenger and a larger center screen will also be available. Heated windshield and washer nozzles, wireless charging, head-up display are provided. Front and rear parking sensors are combined with all-round visibility. The roof will have panoramic glass with a sunroof.
There is a parking exit assistant, an autonomous parking system, adaptive cruise control and a save and hold in the center of the lane. Parking exit collision warning, pedestrian detection, front collision avoidance and mitigation, vehicle approach warning while reversing and safe door opening, as well as an automatic braking function, are responsible for safety.
