Motorola Edge Plus 2022 flagship smartphone unveiled

Motorola, owned by Lenovo, has unveiled the Motorola Edge Plus 2022 smartphone in the US. The device is an updated version of the recently released Moto Edge 30 Pro smartphone.

The Motorola Edge Plus 2022 smartphone has a starting price of $1,000, but the company is offering a limited-time launch discount that brings the phone's price down to $900 for early adopters.

It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ P-OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR+ support. The device is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system. The device is equipped with 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and three flash memory options: 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB.

The triple main camera includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front side, there is a 60-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calls, as well as an automatic smile capture function.

The smartphone runs on the latest Android 12 operating system with a proprietary My UX user interface. The device is powered by a 4800mAh battery, but unlike the European and Indian variants that support 68W fast charging, this US version only supports 30W charging.

The Motorola Edge Plus 2022 comes in two color options - Cosmos Blue and Stardust White.
