TikTok tests TikTok Live Studio software suite for content creators

TikTok has begun testing video streaming software for its social network. The application was named TikTok Live Studio and is available for Windows only. The software allows you to capture sources from a computer and broadcast them to the platform.

In TikTok Live Studio, you can log in with your social network account and broadcast live. At the moment, the functions of communicating with the audience using chat, capturing images and sound from a computer, game consoles and a smartphone, as well as adding text fields over installed sources are available.

It is important to note that at the moment, not everyone can use TikTok Live Studio. The software is available for several thousand users, and the platform's management noted that the project may not leave the testing stage. Now the company is trying to understand whether users will be interested in this way of organizing live broadcasts. If the community is interested in TikTok Live Studio, then the developers will analyze how users used the software and adapt it for these purposes.

Twitch streamer and columnist Zach Bussey noted that TikTok Live Studio now offers basic streaming functionality and is far behind competitors like OBS Studio and Streamlabs. He also noted that TikTok, apparently, wants to attract gamers to the platform and give them the opportunity to broadcast directly to TikTok, and not redirect the audience to Twitch or YouTube Gaming. But the limited functionality may not suit streamers. For example, in TikTok Live Studio, you cannot capture a browser window as a source, and you cannot configure alerts about subscriptions and donations.
