Adobe Camera Raw now supports RAW photos captured with Pixel 6

The list of gadgets, images from which are supported by the Adobe Camera Raw extension, has been replenished with devices from the Google Pixel 6 line. The extension itself allows you to process images in RAW format using Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects and other applications from Adobe.

As part of the December update, Adobe added Google Pixel 6 smartphones to the list of devices supported by the Adobe Camera Raw extension. This is evidenced by the entry on the Adobe help page.

It is important to note that Adobe apps do not support lens distortion correction on RAW photos taken with the Goolge Pixel 6, but can only work with color profiles. Correction of distortion taking into account the peculiarities of the camera is still available only for cameras. Also on the Adobe website, they noted that the work with the cameras of the Google Pixel smartphones has not yet been completed and may undergo changes in the future.

The update also added support for RAW photos taken with the wide-angle camera of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini smartphones, as well as for all Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 camera modules.

To work with the updated list of gadgets, you need to install Adobe Camera Raw version 14.1, as well as Lightroom 5.1 or Lightroom Classic 11.1.
