Innodisk Shows 10 Gigabit Network Adapter for M.2 Port

Innodisk has unveiled the EGPL-T101 10 Gigabit NIC. The peculiarity of the device is that it can be connected to the M.2 connector. The company is positioning the network card as a solution for computer vision systems, high-definition image processing and games.

The presented network adapter is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x2 interface and is built on the basis of the Marvell AQtion controller, which supports speeds up to 10 Gb / s. Data is transmitted over Cat6 / Cat6A copper cables. It is also important to note that the module itself consumes no more than 2.5 W, which allows the device to be placed in compact cases without the risk of overheating.

The network adapter is compatible with devices running Windows 7 or later, and Linux 3.10 or later. Innodisk also announced that the EGPL-T101 module will go into mass production this month, and it will go on sale in early 2022. The company does not provide information on prices for the gadget.

According to the company, the high transfer rate allows the EGPL-T101 to be used in industrial computer vision applications, high-definition image processing systems and for low latency gaming. But besides this, based on the network adapter, you can build high-performance network storages and use it in HTPC systems.
