Acer has introduced the next generation of the Swift 5 ultrabook. The novelty has switched to new Intel CPUs, while maintaining its compactness and lightness.
Without giving specifics, Acer is talking about using Alder Lake processors up to 12-core models. Also reported is 16 GB of RAM in the maximum configuration and an SSD up to 2 TB with a PCIe 4.0 interface.
The laptop received a display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with thin frames, it is covered with Gorilla Glass with the inclusion of silver ions. You can also note Wi-Fi 6E, Full HD camera, 10-hour autonomy, a pair of Thenderbolt 4 ports, two USB-C 3.2 ports, one HDMI 2.1. The weight of the laptop is only 1.2 kg, and the case thickness is 15 mm.
The novelty will appear on sale in March at a price of 1,800 euros in Europe and 1,500 dollars in the US.
