By 2027, Russian scientists intend to create full-fledged wireless rooms - rooms in apartments with the technology of charging all electronics without the use of wires and sockets. The details of the project were revealed by Pavel Belov, Chief Researcher of the Faculty of Physics at ITMO.
“Usually, it takes five to seven years from the successful implementation of a prototype to the appearance in homes, because certification is required, and this process is not fast,” he said.
According to him, a prototype is already being actively developed, which is planned to be prepared in the summer of 2022 in St. Petersburg. The frame will provide uninterrupted power to an unlimited number of electronics.
The project is designed for three years, while it is planned to create a room 2x2x2 meters. Over time, the technology is planned to be refined so that it can work in rooms with a polygonal and uneven shape.
