Honda stops exporting cars, motorcycles and spare parts to Russia

According to Nikkei Asia, Honda has decided to stop deliveries of cars, motorcycles and spare parts to Russia. In turn, Mazda announced the suspension of the supply of components to its Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus LLC plant located in the Primorsky Territory.

Honda explains its decision by difficulties in logistics and payments, Mazda representatives have not yet commented on their decision.

A Nissan representative said that the company continues its activities (that is, the production and sale of cars) in Russia. A representative of Toyota says about the same thing: the company's business continues as usual, although deliveries to the country were partially interrupted.

Mitsubishi Motor said yesterday that it may suspend the production and sale of its cars in Russia. The company cites possible supply chain disruptions due to sanctions against Russia.

Due to the tense geopolitical situation, sanctions and greatly complicated logistics, many automakers have suspended the supply of cars to the Russian market, as well as production in Russia (in the case of those companies that have factories). In this list, in addition to Honda and Mazda, there are BMW, Ford, Volvo, Daimler, Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Land Rover, Renault.
