Russian specialists returned from the Kourou cosmodrome

Roscosmos specialists who worked at the Kourou cosmodrome in the French department of Guiana are returning to Moscow, said Dmitry Rogozin, CEO of the corporation, in his social networks.

“The first group of Russian launchers and rocket specialists, consisting of 29 people, returned to Moscow from the Guiana Space Center (GCC), the remaining 56 people are flying out of the GCC in the near future,” writes Rogozin.

Roskosmos has suspended cooperation with the Europeans in the program of joint launches of rockets from the Kourou cosmodrome. This was a response to the adoption by the European Union of sanctions against Russian space enterprises. In response to US sanctions, Russia refuses a joint flight to Venus, a Russian-European mission to Mars may be questionable.

Earlier, the popularizer of astronautics, the creator of the Open Space community, Vitaly Yegorov, told what the sanctions against Roscosmos would lead to.
