Barcelona hosted the MWC 2022 - Mobile World Congress - a great event for those who are interested in the smartphone market. Many companies presented their innovations here, which will determine the trends in the field of mobile technologies for the coming year.
Honor Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro
Honor introduced two Magic flagships - Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro. The basis for them was Snapdragon 8 Gen 1; new items work under Android 12 OS. The battery capacity of Honor Magic 4 is 4800 mAh, the maximum charging power is 66 watts. Honor Magic 4 Pro received a 4600 mAh battery that supports both wired and wireless charging. RAM of both models - 8 or 12 GB, built-in memory - 256 or 512 GB
Smartphones are equipped with large main cameras. There are four modules in the Magic 4 Pro camera - two of 50 megapixels, the third 64 megapixels and a 3D ToF camera. Honor Magic 4 also has two 50MP modules, a third 8MP module, and a ToF camera. The front cameras of both models are 12 megapixels.
The novelties received curved OLED screens with a diagonal of 6.81", with a resolution of 2664x1224 pixels. The cost of Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro in the minimum configuration ranges from $980 and $1200, respectively.
Nokia C2 2nd Edition
Nokia introduced a budget smartphone C2 2nd Edition running Android 11 Go, equipped with a removable battery, a 5.7 "screen with a resolution of 960x480 pixels and 8 MP and 2 MP cameras. The basic version of C2 2nd Edition received 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory, improved - 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory and support for cards up to 256 GB.There is also support for Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 5.
The basic version of C2 Edition will cost from $85; it is planned that sales will start in April.
Nokia C21/21 Plus
Nokia C21 is powered by UniSoC SC9863A. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5" HD screen, a round camera module, 32 GB of internal memory in the basic version and 64 GB in the improved version. The amount of RAM is 2 and 3 GB, respectively. The battery capacity is up to 3000 mAh. The smartphone will cost from $107.
Nokia C21 Plus will come in two variants with different battery capacities - 4000 mAh and 5050 mAh. The smartphone received a 6.5 "screen with a resolution of 1600x720 pixels, a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera; 2, 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. The smartphone supports 10-W charging via microUSB. The novelty will cost about $125.
One Plus 10 Pro
OnePlus 10 Pro already launched in China; it will appear in the US, India and Europe in March. The smartphone boasts premium features - a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory; 6.7" QHD screen with dual color calibration, 48MP main camera, 32MP selfie camera, 50MP ultra-wide angle with 150-degree field of view and 8MP telephoto lens. 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The OnePlus 10 Pro starts at $1,000.
Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro
Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro are able to compete with well-known flagships both in terms of price and technical specifications. The Realme GT 2 Pro comes in two versions - one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, the other with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The first will cost about $800, the second about $900.
Both models feature 6.7" screens with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera capable of 8K video recording, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree field of view. The smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Realme GT Neo 3
The Realme GT Neo 3 is based on the Dimensity 8100 chipset. The smartphone is positioned as the first in the world to support 150W charging, in addition, UltraDart Charge technology will allow it to charge 50% in five minutes. Realme GT Neo 3 comes with a 6.7" OLED screen with a frequency of 120Hz and Full HD + resolution. The smartphone will come in two versions - with support for 150W charging with a 4500mAh battery and with support for 65W charging with a 5000mAh battery .
TCL 30/30 5G/30 E/30 Plus/30 SE
In 2022, TCL is releasing as many as five similar smartphones based on the same template with minor changes in specifications. The TCL 30, 30 Plus and 30 5G feature a 6.7" FHD+ display at 60Hz, while the TCL 30 E and 30 SE feature a slightly smaller 6.52" HD+ display. The 30 and 30 Plus are powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, the 30 E and 30 SE are powered by the Helio G25, and the TCL 30 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700.
All five models received a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP macro camera and a 2 MP depth sensor, but different front cameras: 5 MP in the TCL 30 E, 8 MP in the 30 and 30 SE and 13 MP in the 30 Plus and 30 5G. The battery capacity of all five models is 5000 mAh. TCL 30 with 64 GB of memory will cost from $190, TCL 30+ with 128 GB will cost about $215. TCL 30E with 64 GB of memory will cost about $150; TCL 30 SE with 64 GB - from $160.
Xiaomi Poco M4 ProThe Poco M4 Pro received from the developers a 6.43 ″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, a 16 MP front camera and a 64 MP main camera, complemented by an 8 MP wide-angle module and a 2 MP depth sensor. The Poco M4 Pro is based on the MediaTek Helio G96 and will come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
Poco M4 Pro runs Android 11; the 6 GB RAM/128 GB version will cost around $238, while the 8 GB RAM/256 GB version will cost $292.
Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro
Poco X4 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6.7" AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a 16 MP front camera. The 108 MP main camera is complemented by an 8 MP wide-angle module and a 2 MP macro module. The smartphone also received stereo speakers and protection against moisture and dust according to the IP53 standard.
The basis for the Poco X4 Pro was the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor with the Adreno 619 graphics accelerator; Snapdragon X51 modem provides 5G support. The novelty is available in two configurations - with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM. The 5000mAh battery supports 67W fast charging.
ZTE Blade V40/Blade V40 5G/Blade V40 Pro/Blade V40 Vita
The flagship of the Blade V40 series is the ZTE Blade V40 5G, the details of which the company has not yet disclosed. It is known that the smartphone is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 700, equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM, a 6.67 "Full HD + OLED screen and a 5130 mAh battery with 65 W charging.
