MongoDB will delete all customer data from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus without telling the deadlines and indicating download your backup IMMIDIATELY

On March 10, MongoDB warned customers from the Russian Federation and Belarus that it would delete all their data on the MongoDB Atlas platform without indicating the timing of this event and with the requirement in the “download your backup IMMIDIATELY” mailing list.

If your company stores important data on the platform, then they must be copied immediately, otherwise they will be permanently deleted.

Industry experts and customers consider such actions of the American company to be beyond professionalism and undermine the credibility of global cloud services.

MongoDB Atlas is a cloud-based database as a service (Database-as-a-Service) that allows customers around the world to run applications simultaneously on the infrastructure of large cloud providers. The service removes the burden of managing NoSQL databases from clients and allows you to focus on applications. Developers from the Russian Federation mainly use MongoDB open source codes to create their products and try to keep all critical data on accessible and secure servers.
