SpaceX today launched another 52 Starlink satellite group into orbit. Now the Starlink group has 1,942 aircraft. And if we take into account the two prototypes (Microsat-2A and Microsat-2B) launched into space in February 2018, then there are already 1944. Another launch of the Falcon 9 rocket, and the number of Starlink satellites in orbit will come close to two thousand.
Meanwhile, this Falcon 9 launch was twice a record. First, the rocket was used 11 times in a row. Secondly, this mission turned out to be the 29th in the current year. The previous record - 26 Falcon 9 flights - was set in 2020. But SpaceX has two more missions scheduled before the end of the year, and it looks like the company will end this year with a record 31 Falcon 9 launches.
