Google will let you delete the last 15 minutes of search history in its Android app

Google is currently rolling out a feature to its Android app to delete the last 15 minutes of search history. Over the next few weeks, this option will be available to all users of the application.

The feature was first announced at I/O 2021 last May. In mid-July, it appeared on iOS. The option was supposed to be added to the Android version of the application at the end of 2021, but for some unknown reason this was not done.

Google hasn't indicated if it plans to roll out the feature to other platforms. Initially, it was only about the Android and iOS versions of its application. However, in response to a request from The Verge, the company noted that it continues to look for ways to add the option to other sites.

Currently, non-manual search deletion options are limited to automatic deletion every 3, 18, or 36 months. You can check if the option is available in your app by clicking on your profile picture. In the menu that opens, there should be an item Delete last 15 minutes or "Delete last 15 minutes".
