Media: Google secretly takes out of the country employees of the Moscow office who agreed to relocation

According to Bloomberg, Google began secretly expelling Moscow office employees who agreed to relocation from the country. In total, 244 people have been working in the Russian branch of Google in the Baltschug Plaza business center since the beginning of the year, some of them worked remotely.

The publication did not explain exactly where Google is transferring its employees, as well as how many of them have already left the Moscow office.

The Russian edition of Forbes explained that the representative office of the company has not yet been completely closed and some of the employees continue to work there. In early March, Google stopped all monetization on platforms for Russian users, closed the advertising business in the country and stopped connecting new clients from the Russian Federation to its cloud platform.

Google also clarified that the company's core services in the country, including search, Maps, email and Docs, remain available to ordinary users and businesses and will not be blocked.

Earlier, the media reported that in late February and early March, about 100 Yandex employees moved from Russia to Armenia and began working remotely there. The company is currently looking for a large co-working space in Yerevan to enable employees to continue working together.
