The department is preparing a financial support plan for developers of domestic solutions in the field of information security, which will be able to replace foreign players who have left the country's market.
The agency proposes for discussion with the professional information security community its initiative of direct financial support for the so-called pentests (analysis of the system for vulnerabilities) and Bug Bounty programs (payment of remuneration to hackers for discovering vulnerabilities).
The Ministry of Digital Development, within the framework of the operational headquarters for ensuring information security, invites Russian large companies to test the technology and mechanics of implementing these initiatives. The Ministry is ready to co-finance pilot projects with Russian companies and help pay rewards to "white hat hackers" for vulnerabilities identified during real testing of IT systems.
On March 30, the media reported that the Russian companies Cyberpolygon and Positive Technologies will launch their analogues of the HackerOne platform this year to pay rewards to ethical hackers for finding vulnerabilities in the software and IT systems of Russian companies and services.
On March 28, 2022, the Ministry of Digital Transformation proposed to extend new state support measures in the face of sanctions to information security specialists and information security companies. The Ministry of Digital Development has proposed expanding current and new state support measures to companies that have OKVED 74.90.9 (information security activities). This will allow employees of information security companies and the companies themselves to fully enjoy all the support measures previously provided by the Ministry of Digital Development, including deferment from the army and preferential mortgages.
