New details about iOS 16 and rOS, the operating system for Apple's headset

The 2022 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from June 6 to 10. The Cupertino-based company is expected to showcase the latest operating systems for iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac at the event. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman provided an update on iOS 16.

OS 16 is codenamed Sydney and won't feature a major interface redesign, but an insider is calling the new OS a major upgrade as it's expected to include significant improvements, "including an update to notifications and new health tracking features."

Apple is also working on a mixed reality headset that could come out later this yearly next year. The iOS 16 beta is expected to include various information about the headset. In addition, it is reported that the device will run under its own operating system rOS.

According to previous iOS 16 information, Apple may introduce "large widgets" to put multiple widgets in one large container so you don't have to scroll through them.

Apple could also introduce a new iPadOS multitasking interface, and watchOS 9, codenamed Kincaid, could get major updates to activity and health tracking. Apart from this, Apple may also release several new Mac models during the event.
