The Kommersant publication reports that Russian IT companies intend to create additional jobs and raise wages for specialized specialists. However, according to experts, large banks are cutting development budgets and laying off staff. IT organizations and recruiting companies are talking about a decline in market hype, employers are optimizing projects, and job seekers are lowering salary expectations.

Kaspersky Lab announced plans to create about a thousand new jobs in the areas of development and research. In April, the company increased salaries by 20%. Solvery mentor Evgeny Kravtsov notes that Yandex and Avito intend to index the salaries of employees.

Yandex this month will complete the calculation of new salaries based on economic indicators. Avito paid additional wages to all its employees in March.

He adds that some of them have begun to run out of resources, and the cost of renting housing in popular relocation destinations has increased significantly.

A Kommersant source reports that banks are reducing costs for their own IT development and outsourcing. In particular, VTB cut IT costs, other banks acted in a similar way. Reduction is more often subjected to front-end specialists. The expert explains that banks are developing IT-direction at the moment of growth, which will not happen in the near future. The VTB press service denies cutting the budget for development and IT specialists.
