SpaceX launches 53 more Starlink satellites into orbit, now 2858

SpaceX today launched a Falcon 9 launch vehicle carrying another batch of 53 mini-satellites for its Starlink orbital internet network.

The launch of the launch vehicle from the Cape Canaveral cosmodrome (Florida) took place at 10:20 ET (17:20 Moscow time). "Deployment of 53 Starlink satellites confirmed," the company tweeted 15 minutes after the rocket was launched.

Since May 2019, SpceX has launched 2,858 satellites into orbit, of which 2,074 are operational. The network is currently available to users in North America, Europe and Australia, this week Starlink received authorization as a telecom operator in Georgia.
