Rostec is finishing work on a test model of a logistics robot

Ruselectronics holding (part of the Rostec Group of Companies) is going to launch mass production of a line of Russian transport and logistics robots with a payload capacity of up to 20 tons. The equipment automates the work of warehouses and simplifies logistics operations at industrial enterprises. This project is being implemented as part of the Rostec corporate business accelerator and approved for funding. Currently, work on a test model is being completed and negotiations are underway with potential customers.

The solution is an automated controlled conveyor with an electric drive, moving autonomously along a given trajectory. Such robots are designed to transport goods from one point to another. In manufacturing, devices can be used to deliver spare parts to an assembly line or to move products between workshops. The size of the platform installed on the wheelbase can be up to 5 meters long and 2 meters wide, allowing you to move bulky loads.

The production of this equipment is planned to be established at the Kalugapribor enterprise together with Metra Digital Logistics. In addition, Kalugapribor will take part in service maintenance.

The production of the first logistics robots is planned for 2023. Domestic components and Russian software will be used in serial production.

Boris MovtyanGeneral Director of Kalugapribor JSC

“Transport and logistics robots can improve operational efficiency at enterprises. In addition, devices can be used in hazardous industries. Such automated guided vehicles play a key role in the automation of logistics in general.”
