The press service of the Volvo Group reported that the company began to reduce staff in Russian divisions to adapt to changing conditions.
The conditions under which employees will be fired and the number of layoffs are now determined by the leadership of the Russian office of the Volvo Group. At the moment, it is not known which units will be affected by the cuts. At the same time, the company did not make a decision to leave the Russian market.
The Volvo Group plant in Kaluga will continue to operate under a temporary suspension of operations until a new decision is made. Employees of the plant at the moment continue to be idle.
