Media: JusTalk messenger claims about security are not true

Information security specialist Anurag Sen (Anurag Sen) said that he had found a data leak of users of the JusTalk messenger. It is noteworthy that the company claims that user data is protected by end-to-end encryption, and even company employees cannot access it.

A cache of users of the secure JusTalk messenger appeared on the Web. In the leak, you can find message texts with reference to the time of departure, usernames, phone numbers of senders and recipients, and recordings of video calls. It is noted that the leak touched the main JusTalk application, the children's version of JusTalk Kids and the virtual phone number generator JusTalk Phone Number.

The messenger is popular in Asia and currently has more than 20 million users worldwide. The company assures users of the complete security of data and chats, noting that even company employees cannot view the contents of messages.

After discovering the leak, Anurag Sen immediately turned to Juphoon, which is developing the service. There, he was informed that Ningbo Jus now owns the application, whose representatives did not respond to the specialist’s appeal.
