Rostec presented equipment for high-speed satellite Internet on SSJ New, Tu-214 and MC-21 aircraft

As part of the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum, Ruselectronics Holding (part of Rostec) for the first time presented a line of the latest satellite communications antenna systems for cars, trains, helicopters, aircraft and ships. “Through domestic satellites in orbit, the equipment will allow transport passengers to use stable high-speed communications anywhere in Russia,” the message says.

The company noted that the antenna systems are integrated with on-board multimedia systems and allow organizing, in particular, video conferencing, high-speed Internet connection and IP telephony. In addition, the system can provide the exchange of monitoring information necessary for the management and control of transport.

“When creating antenna systems, Avtomatika Concern specialists used advanced technical solutions that make it possible to significantly expand the capabilities of multimedia satellite communication systems in transport. Serial production of the complexes is planned to be launched in 2023, customers are already contacting us, ”said Sakhnenko.

As part of the Army-2022 forum, the Avtomatika concern (part of Ruselectronics) presented three types of systems - for aircraft, helicopters and moving objects.

The aviation satellite system is designed for passenger aircraft such as Superjet, Tu-214, MS-21. The equipment can also be installed on drones. The moving object system is designed for cars and trains. In 2022, the equipment was successfully tested on the route Moscow - St. Petersburg - Petrozavodsk - Murmansk.
