State Duma deputies from the New People party appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to remove the blocking from the Instagram* social network. Earlier, State Duma Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov said that blocking Instagram caused the massive use of "doubtful VPN services" and led to a drop in income for small and medium-sized businesses. According to Davankov, it was the only social network that became a platform for sales.

Note that earlier the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Communications and IT Anton Gorelkin spoke about the possibility of unblocking Instagram *. According to him, if the social network “apologizes and changes its policy”, then the block will be removed.
