Apple began offering everything you need for self-repair of MacBook

Apple has announced the expansion of the Self Service Repair Program.

Recall that the program was announced last year, and in the spring of 2022 it began to work in reality, but only in the United States. At launch, the program covered the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE.

Now, as part of the program, users will be able to independently repair Apple laptops. Starting tomorrow, August 23, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro M1 users will be able to get repair manuals, as well as genuine Apple parts and tools at the Self Service Repair store.

According to Apple, the program will offer more than a dozen different types of repairs for each model, including repairs to the display, top case, battery, and trackpad. In the future, the range will expand.

As with the iPhone, Apple will offer $49 rental kits for customers who don't want to buy one-time repair tools.

In addition, Apple has confirmed that the program will be expanded to other countries later this year, starting with Europe.
