Rostec has created a complex that evaluates protection against wiretapping

Ruselectronics holding of the Rostec State Corporation put into operation a semi-anechoic shielded chamber, which allows testing equipment for the effectiveness of protection against speech and acoustic information leakage. The complex can be used to test military and special purpose products, as well as aviation equipment.

Semi-anechoic shielded chambers are rooms in which the walls and ceiling are covered with radio-absorbing material. In this way, an open measuring area is simulated, where the walls and ceiling do not reflect radio signals, and the floor reflects them completely.

The camera was installed at NPP Rubin of the Roselectronics holding and became the first such complex in the Penza region that meets the requirements of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) of Russia for the technical protection of information containing information constituting a state secret.

The operating frequency range in the chamber is from 0.009 MHz to 40,000 MHz. The complex allows you to evaluate the effectiveness of information protection from leakage, as well as measure industrial interference.

Tests in semi-anechoic chambers are necessary for mandatory product certification, as well as for the production of equipment under contracts for government needs. The creation of a new shielded camera at NPP Rubin will allow us to check our own products in terms of information security and countering foreign technical intelligence, as well as provide similar services to third parties

Andrey Tarasov, General Director of NPP Rubin.
